Macao Franchise Expo 2010 Successfully Closed

  With the theme “Brand Expansion Continue… Business Opportunities to be Seized”, Macao Franchise Expo 2010 (2010MFE) has successfully closed on 10th July at 6pm. The three-day exhibition has recorded 7412 visitors, which is 54.4% higher than that of last year. Overall, figures of all kinds have increased comparing with last year: number of exhibitor reach 123, which has a 60% up. Exhibitors come from Mainland Taiwan, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, America and Portugal etc, industries include food and beverage, sales, marketing strategy, education etc. There are all together 156 booths, recording 140% growth. The size of the exhibition has doubled that of last year and it’s approximately 3,800 square meters.

  During the Expo 1,033 business matching have been conducted, which is a 17% increase from 883 last year. Over 90% of them are small and medium enterprises and people who are starting business. Totally 18 protocol signings have been achieved, which is a 13% increase from 16 last year. The three-day exhibition has made them promote Macao and overseas franchise information, MFE acts as a platform and foundation for overseas famous brand entering Mainland market.

  Since the last day of the exhibition is on Saturday, it has attracted more visitors. Many of them are salaried class, and some have even owned a shop in Macao. They specially go to the site during holiday to seek and grasp opportunities in starting business. Besides seeking for business opportunities for small and medium enterprises and public for negotiation, MFE has provided a platform for exhibitors to cooperate on brand products. It also helps the famous brand enterprises in the first line city in Mainland to look for cooperation partners and seek franchise business partners at second line cities.

  Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM), the organizer, stated that 2010 MFE is a great business event for exhibition, seminar forum and presentation. In order to fulfill the needs of people who would like to start a business and small and medium enterprises, the exhibition has business matching, professional presentations, seminars and many new arrangements, including premium booths setup and food tasting at Macao Chain and Franchise Section. Visitors have extremely positive reaction as a whole, and the first day of the professional seminar and overall discussion has achieved outstanding result.

  Learning from the past experience of MFE, matching up with Macao tourists sales and economic development, IPIM will carry on enhancing and promoting local brand products to step toward global limelight, and attracting more international brand investment in Macao, have effectively made the exhibition fit into the franchise and chain business development in the international tendency. The Chinese name of MFE will name “澳門國際品牌連鎖加盟展” next year and the Portuguese and English name of MFE will remain the same as this year, and it is believed that renaming it will benefit the local small and medium enterprises more to develop their brand images and promote enterprise culture. It will make Macao as the regional trading platform, reaching to a higher level on exhibition. Macao Franchise Expo 2011 will be scheduled on July 7 to July 9 next year.
